Community Guidelines

Last Updated: May 2026
AubrysTech is built for writers, by a writer. These guidelines exist to protect the community we're building together — one where everyone, regardless of where they are in the publishing journey, feels welcome and supported.

1. Our Community Values

AubrysTech is built for writers, by a writer. Our community exists to support one another through the difficult, emotional journey of querying. We ask that all members contribute to an environment that is welcoming, respectful, and genuinely helpful.

2. Respectful Interaction

Treat every member with kindness and professionalism. Disagreements are fine — personal attacks are not. Critique ideas, not people. Remember that behind every query tracker is a real person dealing with rejection, hope, and vulnerability.

3. No Harassment or Discrimination

Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind — including based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or background — will not be tolerated. This includes public posts, private messages, and all forms of community interaction.

4. Spam and Self-Promotion

Focused, relevant sharing is welcome. Indiscriminate self-promotion, unsolicited advertising, or posting content designed to drive traffic to external products is not. If you're unsure, err on the side of contribution over promotion.

5. No Plagiarism

Do not share others' query letters, synopses, or original writing without explicit permission. Do not claim work that isn't yours. Attribution matters in the writing community.

6. Constructive Feedback

When offering feedback on query letters, synopses, or writing — be honest, specific, and kind. "This isn't working for me" is more useful than "this is bad." Build people up when you can.

7. Reporting Violations

If you see something that violates these guidelines, use the report feature or contact us at support@aubrystech.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

8. Consequences

Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity and frequency. Serious violations (harassment, threats, discrimination) will result in immediate removal.
